The challenge
The building was an old house from the 1970s of about 180 m², to which a former barn of about 300 m² was also attached. After conversion, 340 m² were converted into 3 terraced houses, heated with underfloor heating. The building is located in an enclosed inner courtyard, which increases noise amplification under normal conditions. The challenge was therefore to meet the thermal demand of the three residential units, the domestic hot water requirements for 5 persons and to ensure quiet operation.
