Chiller free-cooling full inverter with hight seasonal efficiency

Large EVO FC (WiSAT-YEE1 FC) range is the ideal solution to meet different kind of applications thanks to two different free-cooling versions and full inverter technology on compressors, fans, hydronic assembly, together with an even wider operating range compared to the cooling only version.

Large EVO FC offers outstanding level of ZET (Zero Energy Temperature) both in Excellence version (ZET up to 2,1°C) and Premium version (ZET up to 1,1°C) when the unit operates in free-cooling mode, and at the same time high seasonal efficiency values when mechanical cooling is needed (SEER up to 4,94 and SEPR HT up to 6,18).

The cooling capacity is the same for both energy versions, but the free-cooling exchangers designed to achieve different types of contribution allow:

  • For the EXC version to get 100% of the nominal capacity (A30/W10) through the free-cooling mode with average ambient temperature of 0°C;
  • For the PRM version to get an average 87% of the nominal capacity (A30/W10) compared to the EXC version considering the same ZET.

Further strengths

Eco-friendly solution

The use of R32 refrigerant, with a low GWP (Global Warming Potential = 675), guarantees an environmental impact that is about -70% compared to traditional R-410A refrigerant (GWP = 2088).

Advanced technology

Inverter rotary/scroll compressors, high efficiency DC fans with variable speed control, Microchannel aluminum coils on the refrigerant circuit side, copper-aluminum coils as additional free-cooling heat exchangers, are some of the technologies available that allow to:

  • Perfectly match the cooling load of the plant in any condition;
  • Reduce the compressors operation taking advantage from the free-cooling mode, reaching energy saving even very high;
  • Follow the load also with a great staging;
  • Ensure high efficiency values, reducing operating costs;
  • Ensure negligible start-up current.

Low noise operation

The Large EVO FC range offers 2 different acoustic levels, without changing the unit dimensions:

  • Acoustic configuration with compressor soundproofing (SC): basic version;
  • Super-silenced acoustic configuration (EN): -6 dB (A) compared to SC.

Maximum adaptability

Thanks to the capacity modulation from 100% to 20%, the double refrigerant circuit, the extended operating limits are able to satisfy the requirement of multiple operating conditions.

Extended operating limits

The new LARGE EVO FC is able to guarantee:

  • Operating range from -25°C to +48°C ambient;
  • Leaving water temperature down to -8°C.

Many options and accessories are available:

  • Hydropack with 1 on/off pump, low or high head;
  • Hydropack with 1 inverter pump, low or high head;
  • Hydropack with 1+1 on/off pump (1 pump in stand-by), low or high head;
  • Hydropack with 1+1 inverter pump (1 pump in stand-by), low or high head;
  • Storage tank;
  • Partial heat recovery;
  • Additional condensing coil treatment for aggressive environments.

Cascade management

Large EVO FC is designed to connect up to 8 units in a local network, reaching a maximum system capacity of 1856 kW.

Additional functions

Thanks to the same new electrical control box, coming from the design of the Large EVO heat pumps and cooling only, many additional function are available to fit better each specific installation requirement:

  • Remote on/off;
  • Double set-point management;
  • SG ready function;
  • EVU lock function;
  • Demand limit;
  • Energy metering;
  • Activation of super-silent acoustic version (selectable on the user interface).
